FREE TICKETS TO LAS VEGAS 100TH BIRTHDAY BASH FEATURING
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS GONE IN 15 MINUTES
Las Vegas, April 18, 2005. - Nearly 50,000 free tickets to Las Vegas'100th birthday bash with the world-renowned, multi-platinum rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers on July 2nd were gone in 15 minutes according to Ticketmaster who managed the online distribution via www.vegasrocks100.com this afternoon.
"We knew that free tickets to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Las Vegas would go fast, but fifteen minutes is simply incredible!" said Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, Chairman for the Centennial celebration. "It's proof to the greatness of this concert, and I look forward to celebrating Las Vegas' 100th birthday with locals and visitors alike."
Clear Channel Entertainment Properties has also ensured that more local Las Vegans have a chance to see this unforgettable event. A limited number of free tickets will be available on May 16 at noon PST at participating local Ticketmaster locations.*

The free live outdoor concert will be on the grounds of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). Top alternative-rock act Weezer will open the concert.
