Tickets Available Now for Centennial Celebration

LAS VEGAS, May 3, 2005 -- Nearly 9,000 tickets for Las Vegas' Big 100th Birthday Bash on May 15 will be available beginning May 4 at four WestStar Credit Union locations throughout the community as well as some tickets at Las Vegas City Hall. General admission tickets will be available at each location until the tickets are gone. Four tickets will be available per person.

The celebration at Cashman Center Field, 850 Las Vegas Blvd. North, will include performances by Kool and the Gang, the Flying Elvi and Boogie Nights culminating with a fireworks show by Grucci. Attendance is free, but tickets are required for everyone older than two. An additional 1,000 tickets will be released during the viewing and eating of the ``World's Largest Birthday Cake,'' also at Cashman Center in Exhibit Hall A on May 15. Details on the release time of the additional tickets to be announced shortly.

The 130,720-pound birthday cake will be on display May 15 beginning at 2 p.m. in Hall A of the Cashman Center, and the public is invited to bring cameras and have their photo taken with the "World's Largest Birthday Cake." Bring your appetite too, as the cake will be served to the public after the cake-cutting ceremony at 5:15 p.m.
