Two Nights at the Nugget

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we thought we'd just go to the justice of the peace here in Minnesota to get married. But then we learned that it would take three months to get married here! Well, that just wouldn't work for me.

My future mother-in-law could see that we really wanted to be together, so she and my future sister-in-law made arrangements to have the ceremony in Las Vegas. My sister-in-law is Patricia Hayford, and she and her husband spend a lot of time at the Golden Nugget. The two women put their heads together, and we flew out to Vegas on a Friday, got married, and came back on Sunday.

That was five years ago, and it was the BEST experience I've ever had. The staff at the Golden Nugget was so nice! They had a huge basket in our room, also flowers and a bottle of champagne. Now we're planning to renew our vows, and of course we'll be coming back to the Golden Nugget to do that!
