Gary Reese

Gary Reese, Vice Chair of the Las Vegas Centennial Committee, was born in Frisco, Utah. He is married and the father of three. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in Panaca, Nevada and attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah. Gary has been the owner of the Plaza Barber Shop since 1963.

Mayor Pro Tem Gary Reese was first elected into office to represent Ward 3 on June 6, 1995 for a four-year term. He was reelected to a second four-year term in June 1999. On November 16, 2000, Councilman Reese was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. He was reelected to a third four-year term in June of 2003.

His favorite memory of Las Vegas is watching Nevada Southern play basketball at the old Convention Center. His vision for the Centennial is putting on the best party ever!!
