Doug Puppel

Doug Puppel is a proud 16-year resident of Las Vegas, where he has covered the community's coming of age as a newspaper and magazine editor. After stops at the Review-Journal, Casino Executive, CityLife and Las Vegas Magazine, he is now managing editor of Carpenter, a 550,000-circulation magazine for union carpenters in the United States and Canada.

His favorite memories of Las Vegas all stem from meeting, wooing, marrying, and starting a family with his beautiful wife, Pamela Benjamin Puppel. He relishes the opportunities that their daughters, Amaris and Juliana, will have growing up in a community where anything is possible. Puppel's favorite piece of Las Vegas trivia is that this is where Tiger Woods won his first golf tournament as a professional, the Las Vegas Invitational in 1996.

Doug thinks that in 100 years Las Vegas will be as it is today, a work in progress; and that when Las Vegas stops changing, it stops being Las Vegas. Also, he predicts that in 2105 the Beltway will be nearing completion.
