Craig S. Galati, AIA

The Galati family moved to Las Vegas in 1968 when Craig was eight years old. His dad was in the construction business and his mom was an office manager for a labor union. Las Vegas was a great place for both of them! After graduating from Bonanza High School in 1978, Galati attended the University of Idaho earning a Bachelor of Architecture, then returned to Las Vegas to practice in 1983.

Craig Galati is a principal of Lucchesi, Galati Architects. He has served as president of both the American Institute of Architects-Las Vegas and the American Institute of Architects-Nevada. He has served on the Nevada State Board of Architecture Enforcement Advisory Committee and was awarded the 1996 American Institute of Architects "Nevada Service Award" for his work with the community.

Among his awards are the prestigious Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce "Circle of Excellence Award" and the 2003 Community Achievement Award in the category of business. He is a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas Class of 1996, and continues to serve on the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce government affairs committee and the board of directors for the Henderson Chamber of Commerce.

Galati is a former chairman of the Las Vegas Planning Commission, where he served from 1997-2003; and currently serves as president of the H.E.L.P. Las Vegas Housing Corporation. Through his passion for public outreach and workshop facilitation, he has provided invaluable clarity and direction on community-based design projects for several public and private organizations
