BG Ashley J. Hall

Ashley J. Hall, a member of the Las Vegas Centennial Committee, is currently the President of Ashley Hall & Associates and vice-president at Orgill/Singer & Associates. Born and raised in Caliente, Nevada, Ashley comes from a farming, ranching and mining family with 8 boys and 1 girl. After graduating from high school, he moved to Las Vegas in 1961 and began working for the Nevada Test Site. Ashley arrived in Las Vegas with $80 in his pocket, an old Ford and a job. He says, "I had no place to go but up!!" He was right about that because he worked his way up to become City Manager for the City of Las Vegas in 1983!

Ashley is married to Lorna, and they have raised five children. They have been involved in the growth and development of the community and have loved living and working in Las Vegas.

He says his most favorite memory of Las Vegas is finding his "love", raising their family, accepting the opportunities of service in the community, and becoming acquainted with the great people of Las Vegas. His favorite piece of Las Vegas Trivia is the restoration of the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort & Historical Park. His vision of what Las Vegas will be like in 100 years is that it will still be one of the great "World Class" cities, full of hope, optimism and perseverance. Las Vegas will continue to be known as the entertainment capital of the world, a great place to work, raise a family and enjoy a quality of life unparallel anywhere in the world.

Ashley feels the Las Vegas Centennial celebration will be one of the most memorable highlights in the City's distinguished history.
